Full disclosure, I’ve been a Spott Hogg user for almost 20 years but thought I’d try the UV slider 3 pin vertical. Here are my thoughts after a couple months or so using the UV. I’ve had the Boonie for over a year and the fast Eddie before that.

Ultraview Cons
Sight tapes are more condensed making it harder for my old eyes to see in between distances!
Can’t get sight up enough for 20 yard pin.top pin is at 20.5. Needs more rail adjustment
Sight tapes only go to about 109 yards
Sight tapes on sides of rail seems to be less intuitive than on the dial. Maybe just need more time with the sight.
Housing is 1/8” bigger than the Boonie 2 pin vertical causing it to be more finicky to being out of alignment no in or out adjustment on the dovetail.
No adjustment for individual pins
Only one size pin available
Didn’t come with indicators for other pins had to order them?

Ultraview Pros
Looks nice
Smooth operation
Nice sight picture
Easy adjustments
So far axis’s are staying in place and easily set up
Pins are nice size doesn’t seem to be too big
Comes with light but I never use them
Metal sight tapes can be purchased

Spott Hogg Pros
Easy to read sight tapes had to purchase long range tapes
Super solid, axis’s have never moved and easily set
Peep sight to housing alignment is perfect
3 pin vertical head all pins are adjustable
Has MRT rings for peep alignment
Easy adjustments
Smooth operating dial lock and sight tape placement are intuitive without much movement to dial.
More than enough adjustment on sight rail. Sight tape goes from 15 yards to 120 easily before running into fletching contact
.010 pins are available
Super adjustable to fit anyone’s needs
Rugged. Looks industrial but practical

At the end of the day the UV is a super nice sight, more fancy than others which if your the person who likes fancy over rugged then this is the one. For an extra $200 the UV has less range adjustment. I’m still tinkering with the UV but will probably stick with my trusted Spott Hogg.
