Travis looks like it worked great for turkeys. Enroute on a brutal 1200 mile trek for a 2 day whirlwind trip after Easterns in Missouri. Opener was this morning but with rain forecast all day tomorrow should be golden.

Well apparently I don't have Travis's way with turkeys. Heard some gobbling but they seemed henned up on the neighbors and wouldn't come. With only 1 day left tomorrow a Jake might be in trouble. Pretty late for sheds here in Missouri as the under growth has already leafed out but gave it a try after 1

We have a pretty good climb in the morning to our planned setup spot so man do the hardscrabble pit zips and hip vents work so great in spring. It was pretty overcast and once settled in the blind zipped everything up and was plenty toasty. Got in the 70s while shed hunting in the afternoon. Even at those temps the hip vents made the warmer hardscrabble pants bearable covering the couple three miles I did.

65* at 445 this morning think it's going to be a burner today after the sun comes up. Still 20% chance at rain hopefully the cloud cover sticks around. Not use to these temps heck we still have snow in shade at home

High of 86 in Missouri record setting for this time of year. Really love the versatility of the hardscrabbles a necessity for a never predictable spring.

I've just been trying to wear these every chance I can get. Yesterday the turkeys followed the script and finished up hunting by 7. With the majority of the day left I had to decide to head home early or try and do a little prep work for November deer season. Hung 4 new deer stands and cut shooting lanes. I'll let you guys that have never done it it's a ton of manual labor. 86* is far from ideal but not any options in a short trip. Any way the temp was pretty over powering even with all the venting I was working hard and sweating heavily. I did notice the pants dried pretty quickly as I traveled between stand locations.

Covered a ton of ground in search of the perfect stand locations. This time of year that's a bunch brush busting in biars and multiple rose. I have not noticed any pulling or piling of the fabric

I've been trying to push limits and give a review for those guys who might only be able afford a single set of performance outer wear. I've definitely found the uncomfortable heat level.
My previous experience is opposite wearing lite weight and layering under rather than mid weight and venting. My current opinion is both work and I'd lean towards the system that performs best when the majority of your time outdoors occurs and use venting or layering to extend it's usefulness

We sure appreciate your reviews and all your testing time. I am sure you have some fun while testing too, but 86* and humid.....not sure how much fun anyone could have!

Utah general turkey opens may 1st and going to bear hunting also but to many more hot days may entice me to try the SKRE light wieght pants
