The website description is a little vague. Besides being a tad lighter and now having the pitzips separated from the pockets what else is there? I wouldn’t mind it being a tad longer.

Tony have you compared to the Thunderhead? I’m kinda torn between the two. Thunderhead could be used in more scenarios for me in the tree stand and little warmer for rifle season.Picked up a new one, here’s what I noticed.
1. New version doesn’t have pull cords on the inside of the hood, just the cinch cord on the back of the hood that works just fine.
2. No chest pocket inside or out.
3. No mesh in the pit zips.
4. About an inch longer in the torso.
5. Old version 14oz, new is 11.6 (both size large).
6. Pack size is a bit smaller for the new one, barely noticeable.
7. Face fabric looks identical.
No, sorry.Tony have you compared to the Thunderhead? I’m kinda torn between the two. Thunderhead could be used in more scenarios for me in the tree stand and little warmer for rifle season.
Ya 2.4oz lighter on my scale. Fabric looks the same but could be a stronger material. I’m happy with it, very good combination of features and no giant helmet compatible hood like the mountaineering brands. If i remember correctly, the new dew point is lighter and more durable than the original dew point. I never had the old dew point, but the new stuff its pretty durable for how light weight it is, breathes pretty damn good for rain gear too.
