Single best/most important lift for Mountain Hunting training?

Thrusters are great. I use a single dumbbell with a varying weight. Some days I want to do more reps, so I use less weight. Other days I want to build strength, so I use heavier weights. I also like how Mark Rippetoe recommends doing deep squats with wide set feet for the squat portion of this exercise.

I have never in my life found myself wanting to do more reps on Thrusters!

There is no debate.

If you only do one "lift" the rest of your life that will not only prepare you for the demands of hunting but anything else the world can throw at you it is the TURKISH GET-UP. One lift that literally targets everything you need to function as a bad ass human being. You can go low rep/high weight for pure strength or high rep/low weight for endurance/cardio.

That with some actual time in the mountains will keep you trucking until the day you die.
