Sierra 107 TMK Load Data

@Q_Sertorius @Matt5266 @Sako300 @Pistolpete28 how did you guys come up with your coal? Picking a random measurement? Certain distance off lands? Going back to the range with 4350 and 40.5 grains with my 243 20” to see how it likes that combo

Magazine length for M+ magazines with a small fudge factor to ensure smooth feeding.

Edit - and my rifle hated M length magazine COAL (2.82”). That’s how I settled on ~2.94” inches.

M+ mags. Just started long based off what I had seen others doing. Made sure I wasn't in the lands. Originally shot 2.94 but I fell on 2.91. So to answer yes random measurement for me kinda.... wanted them to be long but cycle in my mag.

I actually went out again today because I swapped rings so had to resight. 2 low left were sight in. Adjusted and shot 10

I NEED MORE 107s! Haha

Great shooting what made your drop coal down to 2.91?

Groups were bad at the M mag length, so I went with an M+ mag and went as long as I could without having feeding issues. Groups tightened up and I just stuck with the length.

Loaded one each at 39.5, 40, 40.5, 41, 41.5
Slight bolt lift at 41.5 so dropped to 40.7.

I will shoot these at distance later this week.

30gr Lever, Hornady once fired brass, 107 TMK, COAL 2.275 (basically mag length in my Howa Mini) CCI 450. 70 degree day @ 2300.

I went up to 31gr of Lever at 2820 but had some heavy bolt. Accuracy wasnt great either and then 30.5 at 2770 didnt impress me a ton. 30.0 ended up working out with quick drop and didnt feel like I was anywhere near pressure. Definitely still need to play with it more though.
How has the temp stability been for you with Lever?

I havent had a chance to shoot it in a big temperature variance yet, 50-75. So take what I say with a grain of salt.

Personally, I'm not super worried about it as far as affecting my POI during hunting season because I have zero intentions of shooting past 400. And I think I'm far enough away from pressure signs that I'm in the safe zone even if it does get hot. I will definitely test more throughout bear season and summer though.
