10 rounds out of my 20” 6cm barrel. Haven’t zeroed the scope out as this is on a WTO switchlug setup and I’m running a press test/group test on two different barrels simultaneously. Plus it’s going in a Rokstok hopefully next week and then I’ll zero everything out.

Have you got to play around with testing zero retention on that WTO system? I’m guessing zero retention when swapping the same barrel on/off/back on again doesn’t happen, but more thinking about it from a light drop testing perspective. I’ve never really looked into them seriously but the concept is cool, curious if it’s one of those things where the added feature also means added baby sitting, to a certain degree?

I haven’t had the rifle long enough to speak on much of anything. Once I have both barrels locked in with load development I’ll be able to play around with it more. I did take the 6cm barrel on and off a few times and tested whether or not it held zero. A small sample size but it looks good so far.

Very cool. Thanks for response. They claim it’ll return within 1/2 moa when reinstalling the barrel, that’s pretty darn good

Tikka 7mm RM, factory veil wideland.
160gr accubond, 70gr h1000, peterson brass, rem 9.5M primers.
Just under 1.2"

First ever 10 round group of my own loads. I've only shot load development w/ varying charges up to this point as I start my reloading journey. Found the speed I was looking for with this bullet/powder combo and no pressure so I loaded 10 up and this is what I got.

That's a great group out of a magnum, good shooting!

Extensive group testing session today with a variety of 6.5cm ammo in my NRL hunter rifle (bravo d18 rs1.2)IMG_1869.jpeg

Each group was 10 rounds, fired as fast as I could run down to 100 yards and mark. Groups did open over time, though this may have more to do with mirage off the Scythe ti than system heat more broadly.

Didn't expect this cheap Winchester Deer season to put up such a tight group:

140 SMK did predictably well:

140 ELD-M in 1.1":

143 ELD-X struggled a bit:

147 ELD-M shot just under an inch:

A while ago I bought a big stash of Norma Golden Target, a .635 G1 143 grain match load. I'm generally able to get sub-minute groups out of it, so I think the mirage or system heat was starting to overwhelm me here. Still not the disaster like most hunters would expect after 50 rounds in half an hour:

Let's finish off with a group from my .223 in a hogged out factory stock, which was 10% bigger than the groups it was shooting in my Alterra or Wildcat:

None of this is data (yet), and I'm happy with all of these groups. Hope it's helpful to someone.

Looks like a shooter! That's funny about the Winchester ammo, I've yet to come across a Tikka that won't shoot that stuff well.

Tikka 6.5 PRC - chamber cleaned up with AW2 reamer, throated for 140's, and chopped to the flutes. Ran up to 59gr N565 today with no signs but hit 3k fps so I think she was a bit spicy, loaded 10 at 58 and sent em prone off a new Spartan bipod. Happy as can be!

As promised, the 6.5cm Tikka really does love Norma Golden Target. Similar group produced by Dan's rifle today (both in Bravos - 1 a lite, 1 a veil).

IMG_1986.jpeg

It also loves Berger 140s

IMG_1987.jpeg

But has a somewhat more complicated relationship (still) with Frontier 68 BTHP. I still have yet to try the 75 Frontier stuff, but I'm curious.
