80lb hindquarter (bone in) and head of my bull from last weekend. I know it's not a Kifaru but it handled a near 100lb load pretty decent for a $200 pack. I've packed like 15 loads of meat in the past 5 years with that pack and have yet to pop any stitching...been very durable for me.

What pack is it? I am sure many would be interested in a cost effective alternative should they not have the budget for a higher priced pack.

Considering there are no load lifters on that pack you are a man!!

I've got one and love it, I really don't think anyone makes a more durable and quite hunting pack then Eberle, I'm in the process of trying to figure a way to mount one to a duplex frame.

That's not how I felt the next day! But it got the job done.
Sounds like a good plan. Would like to see that Franken-pack.

1epichunt any trophy pics of your bull, looks like a decent head, great brow length.

Good to hear your Eberle went well, I have a couple of mates who are extremely hardcore backpack hunters, smoke more big mountain Sambar stags than most I know, and they absolutely swear by their Just1's.

There's a few more pics on the meatpole. The photos make him look a little bigger than he is.
I definitely believe there are more comfortable packs out there for heavy loads but this one has served its purpose for me. Looking to upgrade soon...

Most of my pack pics aren't in the living room, but involve me with a less than jovial face....case in point, yesterday:

And back to the truck as the moon was just starting to rise:

YK, the willow trekking poles are for you buddy....had NOTHING to do with the fact that I forgot my trekking poles at home!!! :D

Yep. We weren't really expecting it either. It made butchering the 'bou a nice and clean operation. The pack out, quite frankly sucked...Luke has dragged me on some not-so-fun pack outs but high stepping through knee deep snow and waist deep alders might take the cake for worst pack outs ever. Oh, I forgot the super sketchy creek crossing... Maybe there is a reason no one else wanted to go after those caribou :)
