Tikka T3X Stainless 30.06. right out of the box, except these two things. Rattlecan paint job. Replaced factory grip with the Tikka vertical grip. Leupold VX3 B&C 4-14X 50mm scope. 7.5 lbs field ready with scope, strap and a full 5 round mag.

edit: Oh I forgot, it also has a limb saver recoil pad. Those things make it a lot nicer to shoot.

I’ve not weighed it but it’s not at all bad to carry. I just like the way it looks and feels. I use a fixed 6X and 130s, either Partition or TTSX.

I am planning my first rifle elk hunt. I have not hunted out west before. Is there a tripod that works both for binos and rifle? Am I overlooking something obvious? Any help will be greatly appreciated.

I picked it up used and the prior owner had bedded lug and painted it. Not sure who did it. The paint is actually quite slippery, it would have been better if left the original grey textured finish that kimber provides.

How are you liking the rifle? How’s the recoil on it with the suppressor?

I love the rifle. Recoil is very manageable. A break does a better job than the suppressor but the suppressor does a good enough job that I don’t worry about the recoil.
