This is my stretched tut/tipi I made last year. It's 7' tall, 9.5'wide and 14' long. Weighs 3 lbs. without stakes and tie out line.

Will install a stove jack this year for first season rifle in CO.
I really like that I can stand up inside.

I've been going light the last year or so and just pitching a 10x10 tarp tipi style for my son and I, just picked up the lite outdoors plateau and 18" stove though so I'll have to take some new photos over the spring.

SO Redcliff. I love that you can pitch them anywhere, even over moss covered boulders.
You can even pitch them in your front room for the boys. This one is a SO Lil Bug Out.

Just a couple pictures from a seven-day, hundred-mile remote float-trip in western Alaska. My son got his first brown bear...a nice 9ft boar, aged by ADFG at 9-12 years old.

Didn't see another person for the entire trip...

Good point...sorry about that. I was trying to respect the thread title.

What kind of “creepy crawlies” are you talking about? There are nests made to keep mosquitoes out but they arent usually a problem in the mountains. Same could be said for snakes. Other than that theres not really anything else to worry about.
