SHOT show 2026. New scopes ?

It's mostly their track record for durability and zero retention. Their optical quality is good too from my samples.

Looking at new scopes, i was leaning towards a vortex razor with the GOVX discount, but the nightforce scopes do look pretty sweet.

NF is a completely different class of optic regardless of any discount on Vortex. I'd pay full retail + tax and shipping on a NF before I would use a free Vortex.

Interesting the 1.7-12 isn't sold in the US but we get a somewhat updated 4-20. Couldn't find specs on their website yesterday. Interested if anything practical changed other than the location of the illumination which is now less than ideal in my opinion.

Does look like they might have better reticles for hunting maybe.

The 2-12 NX6 F1 specs looked nice till the reticle.

Seriously I get the PRS crowd wants stuff like that but why can't they ALSO offer a better hunting option too?

I know weight is less. Around 30oz. Capped windage. Lower profile elevation. Better reticles or what I assume is better without looking through the scope. As all of the ZCO glass is as good as they come with exception to TT

I'd like to see Trijicon offer their German #4 reticle to the Accupoint 3-9x40 line, with illuminated center dot (no battery). Is that such an unreasonable request?

Another reticle fail. I sincerely wish PA would ditch the chevron and all the tacti-cool rangefinding BS… or at least offer a simpler reticle version in tandem. But they would still
have a chevron I bet, which I can’t stand.


That said, I will probably end up buying this scope. I like what it has to offer enough to deal with the reticle.

I’ve gone back and forth with Xlogic (their reticle design firm) and they’re very convinced that they have a solid grasp on what hunters want. Zero interest in any outside suggestions.

Most interesting so far. Tried to pause on reticle, windage gets weird. Need to see illum and specs but that’s a big step in right direction. Nf has it all, just go 2.5-10 or 3-12 on atacr 42mm and dmx reticle and look out. We can squeeze em for a 6 mil dmx later. And at same time maybe bump the fatties to 3 mil and the stadia to .075-.1 mil. Illum the stadia only? Prolly not needed. The donut could go up a tenth or two in thickness too since were in fantasyland anyway. Knock 4 oz out of it. Dial, reticle, have it all. A 2-8x36 atacr with that zero lock turret and dmx would be sick af also. That would get the weight down. It’s so simple, why is it so hard
