Has anyone tried new Japanese Athlon Midas Tac Gen 2 HD

I have a Chinese Midas Tac Gen 2 HD that I got cheap since the Japanese models were coming out soon. Not a bad piece of glass, but I've only shot it in ideal conditions at the range so far. I'm going to need to get another scope soon, and I was wondering if anyone has tried out the new Japanese models. They're nearly double the price of what I can get another Chinese one for. So, I'm just curious if anyone can speak to how much of an improvement it is.
