Shoot2Hunt University

Haha. Nothing.

For the most part it would just make it harder to unlearn when they show up. If I had my way, people would go shoot some USPSA matches to learn decent gun handling, cause hunters by and large are awful at it.

That actually makes complete sense, in making it harder to unlearn stuff. If you have any decent online stuff you could point towards that is in-line with your training though, with fundamentals, etc, it would be much appreciated.

There really isn’t much man. Actually the best overall is Thomas’s stuff on YouTube. Watch the videos starting at the beginning. His channel is THLR.no.

Understood, and thank you. Will be digging into that a lot more.

If you are going to S2H, don’t try to learn before the class. Likely will be wrong and you’ll fall behind the class while you try to un-learn what you taught yourself

Still waiting for that 600-1000 class to be offered :)

Yeah, I absolutely hear what you're saying, and it's totally true. The problem is, 2026 classes are full, and I don't want to wait a year and a half to get training and experience under my belt on this.

If you want to attend a class, let me know. I will have them open a slot for you.

Hell yes, thank you. I'll have to look at the dates as there's some family and business stuff this June I'll need to either re-arrange or schedule around, which is why I didn't sign up months ago. But between really not wanting to wait another year, and some things shifting, that's something I'll jump on. Will get back to you on which one would work best. Thanks again.

Has anyone shown up essentially a brand spankin new shooter?

i.e
A 12 year old kid whose parent has taught them safety, but doesn't want to create bad habits with their own poor instruction.

Adult onset hunter guy/gal

O

Yep. A couple.
