Sheep Show

Don,

I guess you are right. I can't wait to go back to the "secret" bar. It is the honey-hole!
sounds like it was good i left after the <1.... when a trophy buck walks into a shooting lane i cant resist but release an arrow.

Chris,

They were sheep and bedded up pretty hard until they got spooked. Hollywood, being a guide, thought they went over the top and into the next basin but we glassed for hours, couldn't turn them up. LOL

I headed back to base camp after they spooked but ended up on a completely different drainage (thanks to Mark) scouting until 4 am and still found nothing! You guys should know that when you spook some trophies like that you rarely ever see them again...

I ran onto that herd later in the evening but encouraged my client to pass as they didn't appear to be legal.

The biggest disappointment was we missed the drunken pack race.

That's why you are the professional Hollywood...Sometimes a ram can look REALLY good (I mean REALLY good) but be a hair short. Takes a good eye! ;)

I don't know how I missed the pack race...I was right there! Disappointed as well, as that race was quite entertaining last year.

Thanks for all the congrats and comments guys, really looking forward to it. Pretty exciting yet humbling feeling when you talk to all the people that donated to make it possible.

Sounds like a bunch of you guys lasted longer than me, my ability to "judge" anything was gone after celebrating that hard! Made it to the always entertaining pack race but was done after that.

Who's going this year? I am looking to find a guide for a predator hunt in Reno because i don't feel like flying with a rifle for the weekend. Anybody know of anyone?

What type of predator hunt?

Work pending, im supposed to be at sheep show.

Coyote Fox whatever they have. My wife is going to the ladies lunch thing Friday morning so I thought that may be a good way to stay occupied. Problem is Im flying from Milwaukee WI and don't feel like bringing a gun for one morning. I have a shockwave and gas money if anyone has a gun and a car haha. Otherwise I was looking for a guide for the morning.

Fair enough kscowboy, I am out of town for the NFR but will try to put together a story and more pics next week.

Apparently attendance is way up this year and looks like the biggest one yet. Should be fun!
