So any updates on the sheep show from those that attended or currently attending? I see the Montana bighorn tag went for $320k this year. I managed to pick up one hunt in auction for a reasonable price

Yep was sitting the next table over from the guy that bought it. Surprised to see it go for that.

Pretty wild watching guys bid those tags up into the hundreds of thousands..........!!

They killed a 190" cali out of there a couple years ago, in guessing that drove the price up.

That ram was named Brown Butt. Very identifiable by the color of his rear end. And his horns I guess. .Unless WDFW makes changes, the auction tag holder can't hunt that unit. Let's hope they leave it as is and don't ruin it.

Like jackelope said auction tag can't hunt that unit. That was a pretty special ram and there hasn't been one like it since in there. Some special circumstances made that one.

It'll be a while before another ram that big pops up in there. When it does happen, it won't be a secret either. Here he is on the hoof. My buddy took this picture the year before he was killed.

He looks like he had some rocky in him, I've seen some huge cali's and he looked to be bigger bodied and heavier than the the others I've seen.

Sorry, no names but the two winners that were present; one was a Forest Service Fireman from Wyoming and the other was from Iowa. Can't remember where the non present winner was from.
