These brands seem to keep coming up time and time again. I want a bullet proof simple scope without all the fancy bling...thanks again for the info

If it were me starting over again I would buy an swfa 6x42 in mils for $209 and go from there. It is a dialing scope but you don’t have to dial. It will be reliable and provide a usable picture during hunting hours.

I just bought 2 VX-6 scopes the Cabelas Black Friday sale. I mounted the first one on my 300 PRC and it failed at round 18. The scope was blurry and parallax quit focusing. When I went to zoom back to three it got stuck at 5X.

Just wait for a leupold licker to come tell you how impossible that is. Sorry you had to learn the hard way on them.

I was pretty sold on Leupold too. I even held onto the second one for a week or so before I decided to take it back still in the package.

I wound up going with the Trijicon Huron 3-9x40 annd upgraded my rings while I was ant it. Initial thoughts is that the short eye relief is (2.5”-3.7”) noticeable, especially when on 9x magnification. iHad to mount the rings further back on the picatinny. Look forward to shooting it!
