Scope for an Elk hunt

I would look at scopes with less magnification. Nightforce NX8 4-20x50 can be bought for under 2k and it is more than what you would need for an elk hunt. I can’t speak about the other brands you mentioned but I use this exact scope for prs and it tracks true every time.

Neither of those scopes is what I would recommend for your intended use. Head over to the long-range forum as recommended above and read through some of those scope evaluations. Then call Doug at Camera Land and order a Nightforce.

And don't discount all the posts about more practice. I mean this with respect, but it sounds like you have a lot to learn about long-range shooting based on your questions/posts in this thread.
