I am not at all familiar with Sauer rifles, I have been reading and most of there barrels are pressed in. Which sounds like you can never re-barrel them. But the 100 series ( cheaper line) looks as though it’s threaded. I am old enough I doubt I would shoot out a barrel, but will hand down what ever to my sons. But any way, who has one ? Are they any good, I want something accurate ? Looking specifically at the field shoot 6.5 prc. May be most accurate, or the 100 xt in same caliber. Any advise, group size, problems would like to hear them ? Looking for a rifle that is not Cerakoted, dependable and accurate to longer ranges and in the 6.5 prc round. Again thank you.

I have a 404 Elegance and love it. It is a modular rifle and can break down into a tiny case. all the tools to take it apart are included in the rifle. It is sub MOA as well. The barrel, magazine and bolt head can be changed out in seconds so you can carry multiple calibers in the same riffle. This is a rifle that will be in your family for generations.

These are the calibers available:
MEDIUM
.243 Win, 6.5x55, .270 Win, 7x64, .308 Win, .30-06 Spring, 8x57 IS, 9.3x62

MAGNUM
7 mm Rem. Mag, .300 Win. Mag, 8x68 S, 338 Win. Mag, .375 H&H Mag, .404 JefferyMag, 10.3x60R

I have a 100ceratec in 6.5prc.
Very happy with its performance for a “cheap rifle”.
FYI, they are 5-shot sub MOA guaranteed from the factory.

5 shot group at 100y from my friends Sauer 100 in 6.5 PRC. 4 shots at about 1/2” until he pulled the last shot. So far we are pretty impressed. Only have about 30 rounds through it so we definitely need more time with it. He was shooting the factory 143g ELDX.

I’m looking at the sauer and the browning hells canyon speed and can not decide between the two. I’d be interested to here more about the sauer too.

If you do a search you will find another thread a few weeks old. I believe someone said you can send it in for a new barrel if needed. I think there is also a 6.5 in the classifieds.
