@Q_Sertorius Have you considered getting your 9.3 threaded for a suppressor? Any chance you could tell me the outside diameter of that barrel?

Thanks for your thoughts. I haven’t fired this caliber yet but I’m not too worried about it. Recoil is something that we must learn to tolerate, and I’m willing to learn.I think the FE Sauer Exception is a very pretty rifle. It has open sights, a red pad, and a nice stock. I don’t know that it’s necessarily worth what they’re asking.
On recoil. Factory loaded it’s not that much more than a 30-06 heavily loaded. Now heavy loads pushing 60k psi (286gr 65gr RS Big game 2500fps) in a light gun is sporty! My zastava weighs 8.25 pounds all up and recoils heavily with those loads. It is something I have to train to master but it is doable.
Definitely food for thought. It’s really a nice looking setup. If you like the setup, buy it. Getting good wood quality, NECG sights, and a red butt pad will likely cost you $1000+.
I had a sauer 100 in 9.3x62. Really accurate! That family of firearms obviously makes nice barrels. (Blaser, sauer, Mauser)
Unfortunately the recoil impulse would flex the rifle and make the mag pop out. Almost everytime. They sent me a new mag at first. Then It happened on a Nilgai hunt with a client.
The blaser group Stateside HQ was in Texas and they fixed it. But I never shot it again and sold it right after the “repair”. Lost confidence to hunt with it.
Wonder if anyone else had that issue?
It’s unfortunate, but they were great to deal with and had great customer service nonetheless
