I’m looking at a 9.3x62 in a Sauer 100 and found a special edition with Field Ethos. They have made few changes including a very nice grade 3 walnut stock. My question is do you think that this is worth the extra spend ($2700) compared to the standard? Same base rifle is about $1250 on Europtic.

Not sure why this isn’t in the firearms forum…

Only you can decide whether it is worth the extra money. If I was going to spend that much money, I’d spend a bit more and get a fancy wooden RokStok. That’s what I’m doing for my Tikka M690 in 9.3x62.

This is my Sauer 100 9.3x62 from EuroOptic. I didn’t pay sticker price either. Jake takes good care of Roksliders.

Sorry- my first post on Rokslide. It should have been in the firearms forum.
Thanks for the advice. Haven’t seen RokStok before- I’ll check it out.

Off topic but what bullets are you using in 9.3?

I have some PPU 285s, some Speer 270s (great on light-skinned game), some 250-grain ETIPS, and some 185-grain Lapua. I expect the Speers will be my primary bullet, but I haven’t worked up any loads yet. I was supposed to go to the range this weekend to sight in my 9.3’s, but I can’t get out of my driveway.
