Saddles are like packs to me, no reason to buy something not made in the USA. There are so many good options and companies. I had a CRUZR XC which was awesome but I was using a back band on longer sits so I decided to get a two panel.

I have a buzzard roost now and I’m very pleased with it. I live close to where they are made and it felt good to send my money their way.

I have heard nothing but good things about the XC's. I have been using an Overwatch Orion for the last 3 seasons, before that I had a tethrd Phantom. I did not like the hip pinch I got from the Phantom. I hunted 7 of the first 8 days of the season this year with no saddle soreness, no getting in saddle shape. Two of the sits were dark to dark and one of them was 6 hrs in the morning and 3 hrs in the afternoon. I also do not use a back band with the saddle. The Orion is similar to the XC in that it is a pleated saddle however it has adjuster straps that allow to you adjust the amount of pleat not just open or closed. When I do all day sits I will adjust the pleat everyone every couple hours to adjust where the pressure is. Walking with a pleated saddle on with the leg straps fastened is not as comfortable as walking with a Phantom however I just clip the leg straps behind my legs when I walk in and reclip them around my legs when I get to the tree. I am 5'11" , 185 lbs and 55 yrs old. The Orion's are assembled in Kentucky by the designer and owner of Overwatch, Jamie Cline.

The dryad drey is probably the best weight to comfort ratio saddle on the market. I've taken hour naps in mine waiting for daylight to come.

Arsenal makes the best platforms, they have a one stick coming out soon that'll be in the 2ish lb range. They're also bringing out new sticks this winter that will likely be the best on the market.

I 2x on Overwatch saddles. I have one piece and the two piece.

For me I like simple efficiency and adjustability with a saddle, and have been using the Tethrd EBSS two-panel for the past couple of seasons. Basically an updated commercial version of the old webbing saddles the old timers used to concoct.
In addition to that, I've been using some Hawk Helium 3-step sticks and a ring of steps. Predator Platform is on the way as well
