So much for not having stock yet, guess they meant just the add-on.

Any chance for a photo of the turret removed from scope, showing the inside of the knob? Wondering if its fundamentally like the 3.2mil version or a diff design altogether.

I’m going to return this one, so no. If I was keeping I’d be glad to do that.

Before you return could you confirm they are actually 0.1 mil clicks and not 0.05 mil clicks? The info from S&B portrays it as 0.1 mil but the guys at EuroOptic said they are 0.05 mil clicks.
Thanks!

Adding to the confusion here, the box says 1/2cm on elevation and 1cm for windage. If the elevation is 1/2cm clicks then it only has 2.4mils of travel vs 4.8mils. If that’s the case then the turret is just marked with “number of clicks” instead of mils.

Certainly it’s gotta be a typo on the box. S&B only advertises two options: 3.2 and 4.8mil.

Have to look at my box, but the box itself pictured above seems contradictory. The guy at s&b did tell me specifically (without me asking) that they had confirmed the turret itself was .1mil click value.

I have a few other scopes in the same price range and my 3-12 is easily my favorite hunting scope. Mine is about 2 years old and the adjustments are 1cm/.1 Mil The BDC turret is marked like it would be MOA, which is a little confusing, but works fine.

I had one of these for a few years and i didn’t love it. I know everyone’s eyes are differnt but it was off to me compared to my s&b’s. I passed it along for another Nightforce 4-16

Follow up on this.... I sent a 3-12x42 Klassic in for the BDC dial and it arrived back to me today. This was a verified .1 mil adjustment before sent in. It is still a .1 mil adjustment when returned. The dial is 4.8 mil. I verified adjustments with the reticle....but I like to shoot so I did that as well.

Mounted/leveled the scope, did a quick boresight, and hit the bottom of the scopes internal adjustment....it seemed like it might be close so I went ahead and shot it to see. At 200 yards, with the adjustments bottomed out, I'm 2.9-3 mil high. I'm using Hawkins Hybrid 25 MOA rings....which are to much for the limited elevation travel of the 3-12. I've got a 20 MOA rail I can swap the rings for but (if I'm doing the math right) I'm still going to be just a hair under 5 cm high at 200.

Really hate to swap out the Hybrids but they've got to much angle for the 3-12's dangle. I may just go back to the 6x42 PMII.....

The guy from S&B I spoke with said they didnt have parts, but apparently they do? Based on the inconsistencies in what he told me and what people are getting I’m not sure how much weight to put behind what he told me, but he said there was 40moa of total travel in the scope, which is 11.6mils. Assuming your zero is exactly centered, a 20moa rail would have your zero fully bottomed out. Seems like a 15moa or less rail would be more appropriate.
Question I have, is the turret stopped so that its not possible to spin it past 4.8? The 3.2mil turret will not spin past 3.2, so a rail is irrelevant, you get a maximum of 3.2mils of travel regardless of how you mount it. Wondering if this is the same—if so, no rail is necessary or even helpful.

Just bought another 3-12x42 3.2 mil BDC model to hold me over until they get this new turret deal sorted. Still my favorite scope

I think the one I got from them was the only one they'd received at the time. They'd just received it. I know they hadn't installed one yet.

The travel on the dial is limited to 4.8. Inclination (in this case) only helps to ensure you're not going to run out of up travel before you get to the 4.8. The 20 MOA rail may get me really close at 200...I hate to lose the Hybrids. Actually, I hate to gain the 1/4 lb extra for rail/rings/tube level.

With 5.8 mils of up-travel in the scope from center, Id think a lot of flat, direct mounts would still get the full 4.8. Be interesting to hear how folks find that after mounting direct.

The catch on the action I'm attempting to use it on (Defiance anTi Medium/700 short footprint), is that the only 0 MOA option is Tally Lightweight Rings. I've had 2 pair of TLW's crack on a different rifle so I don't have much faith in them.

Murphy Precision will make a Titanium 10 MOA rail, which may be the best option to ensure enough down travel for a 200 yard zero while leaving enough up to make use of the 4.8 mil on the dial:

The catch there is that titanium, while lighter than steel, is heavier than aluminum...and the extra $. This was purpose built to be a lightweight.

Everything's a trade off. I'll either go back to the Nightforce that was on it previously, a SWFA 3-9, or a 6x42 PMII to keep the Hybrids. It's not like any of them are bad options.
