Ruger Precision Rifle, Thoughts?

I hat the feel of the Remington Sendero palm swell and stumbled on the new Ruger Precision Rifle. Looks like MSRP is inline with Sendero pricing and they are available in .308. What do you long range guy's think?

LOL, It'd be cheaper to buy the Ruger than to re-barrel a Savage and slap it in a Mcree's chassis. And the best part is having the ability use Pmags or M1A mags.

I'm not big on 22-250s but I'm supprised no one has taken that off your hands yet.

I've had a lot of low ball offers, and the price is already low. Some guy in OK is seriously considering it. The only reason I'm selling it is I picked up another M77 Predator in .22-250.

Local gun dealer is supposed to get one in .243 this Friday. Price is $1,399 plus tax and the bs CBI. I'll wait for a .308 and for the price to come down a little but it does look fun.

I too think that 6.5 would be a great gun to get. Very thought out design. I hope other manufacturers will follow suit. I saw on another site a write up and they paired them with the new Burris XTR II SCR and that would make a fantastic combo for less than $2500. Its great to see tactical shooting gaining some strength!

Anyone buy one of these yet? I've yet to see one but I have to send my second brand new Wiley Clapp GP100 back to Ruger and if they offer me another new revolver I'm going to try and haggle for one of these instead. It seems they're having better luck building rifles than revolvers lately.

What caliber is his? I saw Criterion is making barrels for them now. $430 for a barrel doesn't sound bad at all.
