I know some young people who don't even use a cooler much who are buying Yeti coolers as status symbols. It's ridiculous ! Jacked up trucks that never leave the pavement and a Yeti cooler in the back that rides around empty 99% of the time. I feel real good with my anti status symbol Coleman Extreme:)

You and your fancy Coleman extreme, I've still got one of those steel belted colemans that my grandad used.

Aside from that I've yet to see a photo or actually see anyone who has gotten one of these coolers yet.

A friend of mine received his white 45 quart about a week ago.

Quality was good. He hasn't had a chance to use it yet. I'm anxiously awaiting the review myself!

Mine came. 45 in tan. It took a long time. Ordered 10/13 received it 1/4/16. It appears to be an awesome cooler. Filled it full of ice and left it in the back of my truck just to see how long it lasts. It hasn't changed much at all today which is day 4. Its been cold so that might not be that impressive. I plan to compare it side by side with a nice coleman cooler I have. Anyway, the the product looks great. Its well built and I cant find any defects with it. I hope they offer the wire basket for the inside for dry good at some point. I am told that they will. I also think they are starting to get them out much quicker now. My buddy ordered a tumbler and got it pretty quickly.

Some things I noticed. The seal is sure and sucks down tight. The rubber latches are nice and seem durable and no different from those on a yeti. Rubber feet on the bottom are nice. It hardly slides around in the back of my truck and is yet to tip over. The lid sits flat. The lid is a good design I like the indent on the under side, its like a little handle kind of. It has holes to lock it up and slots to strap it down. Its has lips to hold the wire baskets inside for dry goods. It also has a lip cut in one spot that must be for a divider down the middle. The lid squeaks a little when I open it. Ill probably never kill another deer while road hunting cause of it. The logo inside the lid is engraved but the logo on the front is just a vinyl sticker and that will peel off and I will lose my cooler status symbol.

What do you think of size of a 45 ? Enough food storage for 5 days hunting trip for 3-4 guys and or a mule deer deboned ?

Yeah, 45 would be too small. A well deboned mule deer might just barely fit, but there wouldn't be any room for ice. As for 5 days of food for 3-4 guys, I would be very surprised unless you relied on a lot of dry good for meals and only planned to drink water. I fill my 55 for a weekend. I would go much larger for what you're looking for. For week long trips I usually bring a 55 and 120, you can always use the extra space for storage.

I had been using the Coleman Extremes mostly, but started to replace them with Canyon Coolers (great cooler), but I've been watching this thread to see how people like them. I wanted to upgrade my 55 to a 75, which seems about right for me. These look very tempting.

No not big enough for that. Its really not. You would need a second one for the meet. I would say get the 65 for sure for that. The 45 seems right for what I want most of the time though. But for a trip like your describing the 65 is needed in my rookie opinion.

I do think with a couple bags of ice you could fit a deboned deer in it nicely. Nothing else though. I plan to keep it at my truck with a bit of ice so that I can bring a deer back to it. That is one of the two or three uses I have in mind for the 45.

Ya, I knew they were getting sued.. I think it has to do with the patented latch design.. But.. That's going to take a while and Yeti may not even win

From what I understand it's an ex-employee that started the business lol

sort of similar to the Sitka story and then the KUIU story ..... "capitalism" ........ otherwise FORD might be the only truck on the road

I have had Coleman Xtremes and now buying Canyon Coolers. They are out of Flagstaff Arizona. But these RTIC look promising, anymore more feedback on them?

When RTIC first came out they offered a 7yr warranty (2yrs more) than their competition Yeti. Last week they made a drastic change from 7yrs to 90 days. Yup that's right I said 90 days. To me this is completely unacceptable and goes against the companies whole message to the consumer. I do have one of their coolers and I don't have any complaints as of yet, besides the turn around time from order to delivery. But if they are going to make such a drastic change in warranty, what does that say about their confidence in their product long term. The reason I bought a Yeti was they stood behind their product and it's track record. I took a chance on RTIC and planned on buying more with the soft side coolers out now and the 115 coming. For now I will not be purchasing anymore products from them and will wait to see what they do in the future. Just my thoughts.....
