If it wasnt there, they would not have served those guys in front of 50 something potential jurors.
I understand what several here believe there was specific corruption with the filing of the additional charges. Being involved in it for a couple decades, as far the DA is concerned, it's not corruption. It was a play made to get the defendants to plea to something. Then when they lost, they dropped everything. Pretty common.

I'm glad the hunters held strong and called their bluff.

Yeah my example might not have met the standard of actual corruption but it certainly doesnt pass the smell test for ethical behavior to me at a minimum. Not the adding additional charges part, but how it was done. I'm with you on being happy they stayed the course and prevailed.

I hear you man! Unfortunately, the legal system, although better than most of the world, is a dirty place. So the most disgusting tactics and immoral behavior are rewarded when they shouldn't be tolerated.

At this point, I would be looking it filling a counter suite against the State, County, Judges, Sheriff Dept and any other law enforcement involved, Land owner and employees (Individually) for harassment, deformation and anything else that may stick.
