My buddy owns a few businesses in NY, he said they have to put up BLM signs in the windows or they'll get a brick through them.

So the looters are okay with you if you endorse the Bureau of Land Management? OK, all joking aside, I get what you mean, but I was thrown off for a minute.

The natural history museum may have agreed to remove the statue for possible perceived cultural insensitivity, but the people leading the charge to have these statues removed could really care less about that.

It wouldn't matter if that statue was created by a slave trader or by a great benevolent artist, and thought of at the time to be a celebration of cultures coming together with Roosevelt known for riding horses and the other men needing to be standing close by in order to stabilize the horse portion of the statue.

The current marxists only care about demoralization and disruption. Listen to the following interview of a defected Soviet PR person, starting at 1 hr and 7 minutes, to see the why and how of what is happening today.

The main thing this statue tells me is that Roosevelt may be brave, but the other two men are much smarter. Horses are an unpredictable safety risk, though probably a necessary evil on the frontier.

You mentioning the sign in the window to prevent rioters from breaking, reminds me of this story:

Never forget back in '92 when I had to drive my former Mother-In-Law back to just two-blocks away from where the LA Riots started at... where they pulled Reginald Denney out of the truck. On the same day it happened!

She worked in DTLA in the sweatshops as a seamstress (an immigrant from Guatemala, that didn't have legit papers yet). RTD Bus lines cancelled their service due to the riots, so she took a bus to where we were living at the time in WestLA. So she shows up at our doorstep. "Oh. Ok."

So down the 405 Fwy to Rosecrans. Then all the way over to Berendo Ave (last little street before Figueroa, by all those card Casinos right there).

Right about Western Ave. things noticeably changed. There's this Soul Food Restaurant right there. "Black Owned Business!!!" Spray-painted on all theboards over the windows.

Wannabe Loc'd out Crips were all standin' on the corners where their residential streets met Rosecrans. Throwin' up their sets and in general actin a fool. I stayed right smack-dab in thatcenter turning-lane the whole damn way down Rosecrans. Figured best to maximize the distance away from both sides of the streets when they started to change.

Every... and I mean EVERY liqour store your eye could see? Bashed-in... cleaned out. All of them.. every single one.

And get this! I'll NEVER forget this... you remember those Gas Stations they used to use where you walked up to a central Fotomat type of hut and paid a cashier? We're drivin' along... and I look over... and that whole damn building is tore off it's foundation and over on it's Side!!! Figure they must have hooked up a Tow-Truck? Or a Dualie to it? To get at that safe inside!

I wish... I sincerely wish... that I could beam the memories of that day to all the rest of America. Everytime these numb-skulls want to take away more and more gun rights.... I wish I could beam all that into their heads.

I remember being young and naive too... thinking "Something like that could never happen nowadays though."

If it can happen before? It'll happen again. And you best be ready for when it does. Period. End of Story.

Nope. It’s not. Just like there is a meaning to its existence, there is a meaning to its removal.
Meaning to you and those that constructed itand meaning to those who want it torn down now. But it is objectively just a statue. I don’t understand the need for idolatry so prominently displayed on both sides. Leave it up, take it down. Shouldn’t effect any one so greatly. Both sides are just looking for reactions from each other to get a gotcha moment. Up or down tell your kids and those who will give you the time your thoughts on it for or against... that’s what matters.

Sort of off topic, but if you like Teddy Roosevelt, read African Game Trails. His account of his safari in Africa. Great, great reading!

You are also seeing history. This reminds me of union/labor disputes post industrial revolution. Seems in our short history we go through growing pains.

Well it seems at least one group of protesters now find the statue of Andrew Jackson our 7th president to be acceptable and feel that it should be removed.
We are not headed in a good direction.

The solidarity we saw in NASCAR would highlight some of the positive we are seeing. It certainly can be easy to only focus on the negative.

Can we just get started with the official civil war so we can shoot back? It'll be 3 days of fighting and a quick change of heart.

They're going to pick us off one by one, right by right, symbol by symbol.....until we've had enough.

I've had plenty.

It's just a matter of time before the Declaration of Independence has to go.........slave owners signed it. And then on to the Constitution.......it's got to go too. Yep full on leftist Marxism at its finest. But we've been seeing the prelude to all this for years now. This movement has nothing to do with racism or black lives. They're just using those as pawns to get to where they want to be. This is all about control, and to them.......no lives matter.

Who is them?

For starters.....BLM. But there is plenty of huge money behind them and behind the curtains. Throw in all the leftists as well. The whole Bernie thing was part of this movement as well. And throw in the establishment. They're all complicit in this. That's why they hate Trump so much, because he was an outsider and wouldn't play "their" game. But make no mistake........this all started long before Trump came on the scene.

Eh, no kidding it’s “just a statue.” But if you think the actions don’t represent bigger ideas, pull your head out of the sand.

We are a symbolic world, that’s why you like certain mule deer antlers, or wearing certain brands of clothes, or growing a beard, or getting tattoos, or making a point of saying how you killed a deer on “public land” versus private; we are the symbolic interactionists wet dream.

Just remember: First they came for the confederate statues and no one said anything, then they came for the political statues, and no one said anything, and they they came for you. It’s the “western” way of life they want to destroy, not “just a statue.”

This would be a great time for TRCP, BHA, or another conservation organization to step up and set up a gofundme to replace that questionable statue with a new one that celebrates his work as a conservation leader.

Until someone reminds them about San Juan Hill and it’s all over.

Anyone who supports any form of communism/socialism is either ignorant or a psychopath who sees a way to power and execution of their sadistic fantasies. Plenty useful idiots post here regularly.
Part of the Marxist playbook is to erase history and it’s heroes to make way for a new murderous totalitarian “worker” paradise.
