RokStok

Your response was to if all orders from last year were filled yet. I haven’t been keeping track and I ordered way late so that’s why your response had me curious.
My response was what UM said in a bunch if posts above. They stated all current orders would be filled by next month, then they would open up for new orders.

they should just stick with Tikka and 700 inlets going forward and keep things streamlined
They've already jammed up stockys by bringing in the MRC S2H rifle with M70 inlet rokstok for production rifle availability. How many of these will sell? Idk.......but it's sure to tie up more production line time.

Most of the posts are just bs banter from people complaining about something or other. Or speculating and arguing semantics.

I've got one, love it. Don't buy it if you have issues, simple.

Probably a large number are people wanting to know the status of their RokStok orders. Some UM status updates. And some of that other stuff too. Just validating that you don’t have to have a RokStok to post here as @The Guide insinuates.

Indeed I will buy what I want without forum permission, as I expect others to do.

But it won’t take much effort to find where I’ve said I like the design. So there’s that for those who it matters to.

I just don’t own a RokStock. What that I have written do you disagree with Jay?
What would YOU have done differently and how do you know that it would have worked better than the current system?

I've stayed pretty well abreast of the on going Rokstok thread and listened to the podcasts and read the posts from UM in reference to the Rokstok. After the first few stocks shipped it was stated that the unfinished carbon wasn't of a surface quality that they felt that unfinished carbon stocks should not be sold. They offered a single color stock at no additional charge but if you wanted the bare carbon you would wait longer for the best stocks and even then, they wouldn't be perfect.

The information you quoted from the website about an uncharged for bare carbon is on new orders and was put in place after ordered were ended due to the issues with surface blems on the bare carbon. Nobody getting a bare carbon stock right now is getting charged more.

You are not using the entire story to make your assumptions and I see a lot of complaining without any constructive support. Again, I ask what your experience in the realm of stock making is and how you would make things better?

Never said you had to have a stock to post here but for all the complaining you've done, you don't have much skin in the game. Does crapping on the Rokstok make your scrotum swell? if so, you should see a doctor for your potential condition.

it’s just a gun stock Jay.

Well it's the Rokstok and this is Rokslide so.......in all fairness, UM has had to go through a lot of painful learning experiences getting into 3rd party manufacturing of a high demand product. To meet a price point, that had to be selective who they decided with. Stockys has had their hiccups, which have caused UM quoted production rates, availability, and order fulfilment to lag behind desired schedule.

I know UM doesn't want this, they have been doing all they can to be as transparent with what the 3rd party manufacturer's relaying to them. These are growing pains, and when your in a joint venture where manufacturing is out of your hands, it's extremely frustrating when these delays occur. More molds could be purchased, but does stockys have the man power to increase productivity?

These are the behind the scenes details we don't see, nor should we, both these companies have businesses, and stockys has their own product lines that need fulfilling as well.

I am not waiting on stocks, I've received both mine, and I am happy with their form/function. It does suck to have to wait for something, especially a very long time from original said estimates. I'm not a very patient person so trust me, I get it. BUT you will get a product that performs at or above expectations, although your raw carbon no paint finish COULD possibly have a few flaws, mine did, but I painted it with some sponges and paint from hobby lobby.
