RokStok

They are a small business trying to bring innovative products to market, and are heavily intertwined with the ownership of this site; people do not air grievances the same they would as large OEM's like Fierce and Bergara.

UM announced a new Red Carpet Quality Control program aimed to correct any QC issues going out the door. I will continue to purchase products from their online store. Jake said himself, "Your best bet is always to find a good local gunsmith."
That is my quote: gunsmiths should always be local if possible.

I have no ownership or influence over UM operations except for Rokstoks. If I see a complaint about UM here, I would address it directly and tell them they are messing up, just like I do with countless other companies here.

I own a part of Shoot2Hunt, and S2H generates revenue from Rokstok sales. However, it would go against everything we have built at Rokslide to remove a post from a member complaining about a Rokstok.

Regarding Rokstoks, the individual responsible for quality control (QC) was fired a few weeks ago. A new person is now in charge, and an additional set of eyes reviews everything to ensure quality.

Green Rokstoks have been shipped to UM and will arrive on Wednesday.

If everything goes as planned with the back-ordered Rokstoks, UM will open up sales for a limited number of stocks sometime this month.

We all understand that this has been a significant pain in the ass. Thanks for hanging in there.

They are simultaneously launching a suppressor company, optics company (?) and trying to turn around QC on their gunsmithing company in addition to custom reloading and podcasting while being HQ'd in a relatively small town/labor pool. My guess is that they just don't have trained and skilled finishing staff for the Rokstocks.
Nobody at UM works on the suppressors. No one at UM is working on optics. There are two million people in the Inland Northwest.

This is how mine came. I did not get shipping notice. I came home and it was on my porch.
Looks just like the box I found on my porch yesterday. Also got no shipping notification. They did call me to confirm details of my order. Oddly, the red carpet card was not checked off on the line regarding recoil lug installation and measurement. Recoil lug was there and seems to fit right so, no big deal.

Can you send me a private message with a picture of the card?

Emails are going out, but FedEx email tracking sucks.

I only have a small sample but my dealing with UM CS has been awesome. Problems happen and sometimes you can’t help it. Would I like a lefty Rokstok or two, heck yes but crap happened. I’ll wait and it will be fine in the end.

Any idea about when left-hand tikka action Rokstoks will start shipping? I'm trying to be patient... but I'm failing. I really like seeing the weekly/bi-weekly updates.

Does this mean all backorders may be filled this month? Only asking cuz I bought one in August and was anticipating a long wait til delivery

Does anyone here have extra LOP spacers they want to sell? I’m trying to find a couple of them and -shocking- they aren’t available on the UM site.

I've been reading this thread since the beginning and have bit my proverbial lip until now. Hopefully this post doesn't get me in trouble. It's nice to see this level of accountability. And as someone who has managed people professionally for 20 years, I truly sympathize with the frustration that Ryan and Jake must be feeling with employees not meeting expectations repeatedly regardless of how much effort and time the manager/ownership puts into bringing them along. It's unfortunately about people not taking pride in their work (at UM and everywhere else in our society).

Not trying to run your railroad Ryan, but to all the folks on here who say UM needs more molds, or better logistics, or anything else, I would argue what's truly needed is one or two people who truly take pride in their work and want to exceed expectations for themselves, not for anyone else, without any micromanagement from Jake or anyone else. And unfortunately, that's the most difficult input to find.

I will echo that other than delays, it seems like UM has handled any issues well. I believe in what they are doing and the product they are producing. I ordered a wood Rokstok because I love how my normal one shoots, and I love wood furniture. I have no doubt that UM would take care of me if any issues arose.

I can personally say that UM looks after their customers very very well. In my case they went way above expectations to satisfy an issue with an order I had. If you talk to them and aren't a dick I've had nothing but good experience with their customer support
Funny how that works. I can say the same thing about my couple dealings with UM. Both times the issue was on my behalf, and they went above and beyond to fix everything.

Man. I’ve been gone from RS for a long time. I can’t believe that this is still going on. I wanted to buy a left handed RS for my son. For a 2026 hunt… looks like that isn’t enough time, even if I could order. Unfortunately KRG Bravos don’t come in LH Tikka either.

The bravo can be modified pretty easy for a lefty. I wish I wouldn't have sold mine.
