RokStok

Thanks. Just trying to get an idea of the level of recoil. Is that from a 6.5 Creed?

I shoot a 260Rem mostly

I like the idea of the wood Roktok. Finding the right wood with a grain that supports that narrow wrist must be a challenge.
I might have access to some very interesting walnut and may just give it a go with something Rokstok-like.

Zero issues the way they are made.

Considering the way they are made, it would be interesting to build a stock with 3-4 slabs, alternating grain and whatnot, but replace 1-2 of the slabs with slabs of balsa or something else that is extremely light. Balsa may not be a good choice

When I called on Friday I was told they were “still in production” in Stockys system. Which sounds like more empty promises since they were supposed to ship to UM 10 days ago. Maybe by spring bear….

Mine has been "in production" since April when I first asked for an update. I'm the idiot for getting my hopes up.

This might be too soon… there’s a few days left in January (ha!) but I’m starting to feel like this guy:

I say to myself: ‘The next schedule update will surely be truthful and accurate, by then they’ll totally know what they’re doing and when….’

Wasn't suggesting there is an issue with Rokstok. Only that picking wood to make a Rockstok-like design will require careful consideration of the cut and grain structure.

With a standard wood stock, yes. Not with the way the wood RokStoks are made.
