ROKSTOK UPDATE 12/27/2023

- The Rokstok will be at SHOT show in @Stockys booth for you to fondle
- We had to cancel the LE Gold color due to carbon issues, only 9 stocks were purchased in that color and I have notified all of those individual customers directly and offered them free Cerakote or LE Green color. No you other guys cannot have free Cerakote.
- The first Tikka Railed mold will be delivered to Stockys this week, then we should have the first stock to test in a couple weeks. We will keep all of you involved in @Formidilosus rigorous testing regiment.
- The pre sale has went well, newsletters are going out next week then we may have to shut the pre sale down until all orders are filled.
- The target is to fill all initial pre orders by end of March 2024 and at some point have stocks in stock.
- Nearly 90% of all stocks sold so far are Tikka!!!!
- Rail stats: None 18%, Picatinny 12%, Arca 12%, Arca/Pic 38%, Spartan/Pic 20%
Will Unknown Munitions or Stockys be at the Hunt Expo?

I did not. It's in there tight. I'd have to pull it out with pliers.

I haven't shot it yet, but the tightness of the inletting is confidence inspiring. I do no anticipate any issues.
My Stockys VG2 has already seen more field use in a month or so than a lot of rifles will see in a year or more.

It’s also had a few decent knocks on both the stock and scope.

I did not epoxy mine in but I tapped it with a hammer to fully seat it. I would have to use pliers and wiggle HARD to get it out.

Yesterday that rifle killed a nasty little desert Chupacabra at 432 yards.

This morning it did this to a bucks heart at 264.

No issues so far with accuracy and maintaining zero.

Just to be 100% clear - no bedding?

Zero bedding. Factory fluted barrel and Sendero channel. High desert bottom metal (factory clone but aluminum). Blue Loctited action screws at 60ish” lbs.
Sounds like you have the superlite barrel in that sendero channel? Mind sending a pic from above to show the dead cat gap (DCG)?

This should give those that say the RokStok is ugly a new object to focus on. You're welcome.
The only thing that looks a little redneck is the windage dial… everything looks purposeful on the rifle but I couldn’t figure out the windage knob

Homie…. I’d shoot the smack out of that stock.
Plenty of other tikkas in the stable for it to ride. I legit like it, but i'm excited to get y'alls to try. I'm looking forward to the grip/trigger position and based on the LOP measurements you shared, I think I'll be able to scoot the scope forward some which would be nice. After getting square I had to redneck a new position for the rings on the rail.
Did you grind turret knob and glue moleskin to it?
Yes, the knob isn't in the right position on the clock since I was zeroing a different bullet. the flat normally faces the front of the ejection port, and I had some moleskin to try and keep the necks of the brass from getting bent so much.

Hate to see it go, as nice at it is, but it’ll be coming off the 6.5 in a few months.

Big thank you to @Ryan Avery, @Formidilosus and others for making the RokStok happen!

I’d shoot your stock.

If I were savvy with a 3D printer, I always thought of creating a grip module with a shorter reach and a negative cheek riser that would raise to the heel of the stock and would be tapped to accept a raised buttpad.

Obviously it wouldn’t address all the features that the Rokstock is hitting, but I figured it would be a quick two piece add-on to factory stocks.

Thanks for the heads up on these, this is definitely a winner for me . The lower profile and rounded edges make it feel much nicer in hand.

You're welcome!

That's what Rokslide is all about - and thanks for the SRS comparison ... helps me and others have a valuable reference point.

Do they have a 2” one to replace the mini arca? I want an arca rail in front of the DBM but I don’t really want one that sticks out so far.
