Rokstok Lite

Just swapped a few messages with Jake.
The Lite is live...

If you scroll down, there is some inlet info...

hopefully this will get this thread back on track...
@Unknown Munitions — is “tikka” the T3x or T1x inlet?

This is kind of a diy hybrid lite/regular rokstok i made myself it still came in at 33oz due to the 15.25 LOP and a higher than normal comb. I'm having fun experimenting with LOP and comb height. I figure I can easily remove more wood and touch up the oil finish.

it's not as simple as it seems is it!
Yours looks pretty slick tho!
Nope! Thanks! These first two I drilled in a solid carbon fiber dowel through the grip area to reinforce it because I didn't want to split the curly maple and add another layer. I'm hoping it holds up🤷‍♂️. I have another rifle that's getting walnut. I will probably laminate it like yours.

Oh baby got a Kimber inlet listed! Don’t give up on us Kimber guys - I just got save my pennies up. Also - question on the wood with your stock designs is their any benefit other than looks to maple vs walnut, and/or plain vs fancy?

Oh snap..

@longrangelead when you get some done, could you share pics of regular vs. Fancy walnut?
Also looking forward to seeing the DBM solution for an 84M. That’s what really interests me, and I really like walnut stocks.

No real advantage to one or the other aside from looks other than Walnut varies in density enough it may be much lighter than Maple.

I wish I wasn't so likely to destroy my gear. I'd love a fancy walnut.
I get it. I used to think that way too. I still have one rifle that is a fair weather rifle.
that being said, we don't hesitate to take a $2,000 scope out in the rain or snow.
wood can be refinished...
if you're not unnecessarily rough with it, wood can last a lifetime.

Can you slightly deviate from the Rokstok (Lite) design with a wood stock?
