I’m trying to find somebody to perform a Lichtenberg Burning technique on a wood Rokstok. Looking for some help on who does it?

So far I’ve struck out with the main reason being safety since it deals with high voltage.

Had to look up what this is- looks pretty awesome

Sorry idea who can help you do though

Looking more into this as DIY you can use a microwave transformer, but……it’s 2,000 volts. Should be interesting.

Please don’t. People die doing this. Find and use a pro for your family’s sake. They do look badass though!
Yeah I decided against doing it myself. Can’t find anybody to do it either because of the safety aspect. I’ll probably end up going with Curl or Turkish walnut instead.

My Dad built one that I technically own now. You are welcome to use it, just sign liability release, NDA, and let me watch

That looks really cool. Why would you want it on a rifle stock though? I used to have a coffee table that had that.

Poisondart bows has done this on some bows. Could call Buddy and see if he has any leads.

I researched this 5 years ago and came to the conclusion that the only relatively safe way to do it is by building a dedicated fractal burning room.

Inside, you have a table that holds the wood and adjustable + and - electrical leads. You set the position, leave the room, and then flip the power on for a few seconds with a large breaker. Go back in, check the progress, move the leads, and repeat.

The key is to be nowhere near the lines when they’re hot. This handheld business with two welding rod-like devices is how people are dying.
