You could always bring ammo for my .300 RUM and everyone can shoot that (as long as you carry it in). Lol. ;)

You guys crack me up. I wish I could make the trip. I will summit the nearest peak in my elk area look to the north and give you all a wave.

Oh quite your whining you guys. It's only 5 miles and 2800' of elevation gain. I was planning to take beer, steak, and the kitchen sink just to make sure I'm getting my exercise. I tell you what. You guys just stack up all that nice new expensive gear and I'll make sure it get's to the top of the hill for you.

Here's my packing preference for those wanting to lower the weight:

1. Spotting Scopes
2. Bino's
3. 900 fill down quilts
5. good beer
6. crab legs
7..... hmmm I'll get back to you on that one

What I should do is back 2 cases of beer and charge you each $5 a piece. It'll go towards my spotting scope fund inless someone decides to lighten their load.

With that thinking, I'm going to build up some new saddle bags for spud and make him haul up a case for me! Ha great thinking Mark :)

Just get him some pack goat panniers. Spud's a rockstar. He can handle it.
