Rokslide hiking trip

Great idea. I've been mixing Fireball with hard cider, but those instant cider packs would be great for the back country.

ill tell you what, when the mercury dips and snow falls or youve been wet for a few days... i pour the whiskey in a plastic water bottle

Like Fillthefreezer, I put mine in thin disposable water bottles. I've tried quite a few things over the years but what I settled on are whiskey sours. I add a little dash of lemon juice to the whiskey before I leave and take a couple sugar packets. Put a couple teaspoons of water in with the sugar to make syrup and add a little cold water to the whiskey.

Some other items I've tried: Add Bacardi Lamon to ice tea powdered mix. Makes lemon Ice tea.

Crystal light makes a powdered Mojito mix. I just add a little Bacardi 151.

Since I'm more of a beer drinker. They finally have their federal license and are just waiting on their state license to start selling beer concentrate with their handheld carbonator.

im really looking forward to this trip, and it coming up fast. cant wait to get back up high. think ill do one overnighter before hand just to get a little bit of a fix. probably head up and check out elk camp here in the next week or so. man the seasons coming fast...
