It's hard, the companies have convinced us, we need caliber specific cans. It makes sense when the smaller cans are geared toward smaller cartridges. This can is tough for me because it's an OG30 except limited to .22 cal. Size, weight and price are the same. Suppression difference level is the only difference. I would be curious to know apples to apples difference between the 2. Giving up versatility for a couple Db's doesnt make sense to most. Og6s is smaller, lighter and cheaper and by all accounts suppresses .223's very effectively.
SameI’ll go a step further and say I want gun specific cans, not just caliber specific. I have no interest in re-zeroing a rifle every time I swap a can around. Purpose built rifles, paired with purpose built cans is the way for me. I consider it part of the barrel now. My first two “do it all” 30 cal cans I purchased now sit in the safe. Decent at lots of applications, not optimal for any.
Just my .02 cents…and it’s got nothing to do with the suppressor companies telling me I need it. Just practical reality based on my experience

I agree to an extent but understand why US wouldn't make this a normally stocked can. When i buy cans, they are usually bought with a certain rifle in mind. I do still end up moving cans around tho.I’ll go a step further and say I want gun specific cans, not just caliber specific. I have no interest in re-zeroing a rifle every time I swap a can around. Their reflex adapter on my ultra 9 will be stupid quiet on 223
I wonder what the bottom end will look like on maximum suppression. How low on Db's can a company achieve? When we look back in 2 years are our cans gonna seem obsolete, or are we approaching the best that can be accomplished?Their reflex adapter on my ultra 9 will be stupid quiet on 223
I think you can probably get the muzzle blast into the 80s on dB, but I don't thing it is useful. We probably can achieve the meaningful floor now.I wonder what the bottom end will look like on maximum suppression. How low on Db's can a company achieve? We're probably getting close to the archery industry type situation. How much quieter can you make a supersonic crack?I wonder what the bottom end will look like on maximum suppression. Kind of my thought as well. It's gonna be a weight vs length vs recoil reduction race. We're probably getting close to compound bow level efficiency. How much quieter can you make a supersonic crack?
