How is everyone holding up with the wild fire smoke? In south eastern Wisconsin, the air quality is at 480 right now. I have heard from a few other tradesmen that they are shutting some jobsites down, due to the air quality being in the hazardous range. From the wild fires in the past, I can recall being able to see the haze from the smoke but not really being able to smell it (I know that doesn't add up lol). This time around you can smell it too.

Out here in the PACNW we get fires every year. Yeah I'd keep an eye out where the fire is but the smoke is definitely a hazard.

Hopefully you aren’t close to the one that’s somewhere between us right now…..

I'm in the clear. Lotta friends and family that are getting ready to bail though.

I think today is going to be a bad day for a lot of people. Gotta hunch none of them will be bitching about the air quality though.

Well that’s good. I just looked at the map. It’s a lot further west (and bigger!) than I thought it was. I thought it was just over the hill in RR.

In SW Michigan it's pretty smokey for sure, there are place where the visibility is only 1/2 of a mile.

I feel for you guys that are closer or in the path. Good luck!

Out on the lake last night. Northern WI. Somewhere around 600 aqi currently.

It started up Evans creek. Knocking on the door to shady cove right now. Heard they had 227 shut down as well. 11k+ acres so far. Theres a bunch of old burn and decent sized cuts in that area though. A lot more accessible than some of the evans creek country is too.

Here on the edge of the BWCA (which has been closed and evacuated) it’s terrible, hard to spend much time outside and we’re keeping the grandkids indoors at their cabin.
We’ve got 2 fires going within 1/2 hour drive with many more not far away.

A little off topic, but the Watch Duty app is an excellent source for wildfire information. I highly recommend it.

It’s interesting outside.

Surprisingly I have done 4 hours of mountain biking the last two days with a lower heart rate on average for the rides I was on. No irritation, besides it smelling like garbage burning the whole time.

I'm in SE WI too, and its BAD- don't need to tell you that though! I'm miffed bc we were supposed to go to Ribfest in Elkhorn tonight- might have to chance it anyways!
