I also just bought a EVO pod. Although I have not shot with it yet my initial impressions are WOW!! I have used both the Atlas and Bob Becks Extreme pod and the EVO bod if the best of these two combined and then some. I love mine so far. Can't wait to wring it out with a few rounds down range.

I hear that. I'm running a ~$60 tiptop that pans and pivots and has held up just fine under my 280AI for a full year of target shooting and hunting, quite satisfied.

The Evo as a standard bipod doesn't weigh any less than an Atlas or Harris. Throw long legs (sitting height) on it and it probably starts to become lighter than others but it certainly doesn't seem like a lightweight option to me.
