I have a well loved pair of Lowa Sheep Hunter’s. German made. Still in very good shape after thousands of miles of hard use, but the soles slip on ice and snow like they’ve been greased? It’s gotten so bad that I can’t even wear them in slick conditions?
Can anyone recommend a good place to resole these guys?
I am not impressed with Lowa’s competition these days( Crispi, Kenetrek) and would love to get some more Use out of these old warriors.

Thank you in advance.

Mr. Cobbler Co. in Grand Junction, Colorado. He’s a ways out the last I talked to him, but he’s got a good reputation and does good work. Uses vibram brand soles. His site mentions crispi’s specifically but he does all hunting boot brands:

I had a pair of Lowa Tibets resoled locally by an old school cobbler for less than $100. 1 week turnaround. He doesn’t have a website but might be worth a call. Doe River Leather Works +1 (423) 518-1250
