Quad sticks vs tripod, prone-like accuracy from standing with a 1.5 lbs setup?

Hi everyone, i was asking a couple informations about a vanguard tripod on a british hunting forum and basically everyone suggested me quad sticks (especially the ones from Blaser or Viper flex) over any kind of bipod, claiming that these quad sticks (which weight less than 2 lbs) can give prone-like stability from standing with just a few seconds to get in position. This is totally mindblowing and i wonder why don't everyone use this system instead of heavy tripods if what they say is true. So, what's your take on quad sticks?

I have seen them, yes. It looks a bit overkill for my applications. But at this point i am considering quad sticks (plus a separate lighteright tripod for camera) since people on a uk forum claim prone-like stability from standing.. i still can't believe this honestly
