Push Feed Paddle Stock Ruger

I also have an early push feed stainless MKII. Mine started has a .30-06 but has been rebarelled as a .35 Whelen. Took me a few years to realize it was actually a push feed!

A paddlestock in 35 Whelen is something I’ve always wanted to do. Very cool! What brand barrel did you go with, and how does it shoot? Did you have to alter the stock at all or did you stick with the factory contour at least through the barrel channel?

The barrel is a 22" stainless Bevan King (Canadian barrel maker) that easily shoots Speer 250 gr and 225 TSX under one moa. The barrel fits in the original stock channel. When I ordered a McMillan for it I ordered it for a magnum sporter channel and it fits perfectly.
