Iv been using the Sitka down WS hoody this winter and am quite pleased with it. It seems to block the wind pretty well so far. We haven’t had much colder then -10c yet this year though.

The Kuiu SD Pro is pretty warm. Eddie Bauer has tons of puffy's too and huge sales

many options other than the hunting brands. I've had great luck with my RAB coats. Warmer than my KUIU and sitka. Just need to buy earth tone colors if you want to hunt in them of course.

I found a great deal on a RAB puffy recently. Similar specs to the expensive hunting versions at 1/2 the cost.

I got a mountain hardware ghost whisperer on clearance a few years back. It is an oven and super lightweight

Nothing from SG is ever inexpensive, but you would not be disappointed with the Grumman. Super warm.

I can't compare and contrast any of the options you mentioned, but I have a first lite uncomphagre and an Kifaru lost park parka, and the lpp is significantly warmer than the uncomphagre. I've worn it down to 20 degrees and windy conditions with a 150 and 240 base and mid layer with no problems

I would look at Beyond Clothing in Seattle. They have sales that make their stuff affordable (do not pay retail for anything nowadays). I have the A7 cold weather in multicam (https://beyondclothing.com/products/a7-cold-jacket-multicam?variant=32446154080318). Bomb proof. Warmest jacket I have ever worn. Retails for $475. Got mine for ~ $200.

A bit bulky, but sized for layers underneath. I bought my true size, but have never had to put on much more than a long sleeve shirt underneath. Knowing what I know now, I would try a size smaller. I wear a 46L in suit coats, and ordered an XL. It is a little baggy. I have had this in temps around 0F. It was crazy warm, and wind proof. Fabric is a little loud for bow hunting, IMHO.

Think I spent the last 3 days reading through all the puffy posts on here..

Narrowed it down to the SKRE and the Grumman. SKRE was on sale for $210 earlier this week so I'm giving that a try. It's $270 now.

I also wanted to support a "hunting company"

Do a search and you'll have days of reading material.

Agreed, so many posts on puffies. I ordered a RAB microlight Alpine for $184 and it should be here next week
