Another beautiful day in South Central. I don't think I'll ever get tired of waking up to this. Denali, Hunter, and Mt. Foraker. Although, the pictures with this iPhone don't do them near the justice that they deserve.

Did a couple of 3 day scouting rucks when I was home a couple of weeks ago. Got into elk up at tree-line, plenty of water this and the feed is good. Also encountered 15 moose. Two different bulls wanted to get a closer look at me and closed the gap fast. One put the sneak on me.

Just got back from the Brooks for Caribou, this was an early shot just after setting camp.

not sure on this one...this was in sheep herding/grazing country and my best guess is that a shepherd, with lots of spare time, stacked these rocks to make a windbreak...?? or some sort of blind for hunting, but faced in the wrong direction.

in any case, some of these rocks were pretty good sized. I am not sure I would be to comfortable in there as the walls were higher than my head if I sat down in it. someone went to a lot of work stacking rocks for this. I wish I knew its purpose.

This was my entire summer. Ended up seeing some desert big horns north of this photo 40miles or so. That was a pleasant surprise one morning. Tough critters to survive in that environment
