If going out in the backcountry for a few days, will you pack an extra pair of socks and an extra pair of underwear? Is it worth the extra ounces?
I hate wet feet and feel a dry pair of socks can really make my feet feel better...and you never know when a Peak meal might hit rock bottom too fast...but I don't want to pack my fears, lol....

I'll often pack another pair of socks when I'm going to be out more than ~4-5 days. Having a fresh pair of socks for the last 2-3 days makes a big difference. I've also packed a warmer or lighter pair of socks when I anticipate a big weather change during a trip i.e. its going to be relatively warm for the first 4 days but then its going to snow for the last 3.

I bring an extra pair of socks and rotate daily, and in case of unexpectedly soaking my boots in a stream or in really wet grass (mornings). Wet feet/socks are no good, especially in cold weather. Worth the weight in my opinion.
