Crown Point on the Columbia River - 2011. It was a rushed shot from a well-known overlook on the old river highway but I've always liked the "painted" feeling it has. You can easily see Beacon rock in the background.

I was searching with google for someone that had worked at the AGFD and got a hit in a PDF file of a 1985 special issue of Wildlife Views magazine, which the dept published. Found this inside. I'm fairly certain it was originally in color.

A post yesterday got me thinking about Africa. My wife and I were in Namibia ten years ago on a ten-day hunt together, and then took a week to explore afterwards. She likes cats, so went to a cheetah conservancy center one afternoon....
