Non Waterproof Hiking Boots

Late to this thread, but I use Salomon forces speed assault 2, with an insole. They’re great for early season—light, agile, great grip, quiet, fit my foot very well. Just have to keep an eye on the laces, they can wear through.
 
If it’s dry-best as I understand it that’s a sweat wicking lining not a membrane like goretex.
Funny, I didn't realize this about a pair of boots I wear.
And I'm with the person who started this thread, everything being goretex'd is frustrating, it does not breathe as well in dry conditions as is claimed.
 
Hanwag has a pretty robust list of leather lined non gortex boots models. I’m a fan of the Yukon’s and Ancash II LL
