I have two 4-drawer legal file cabinets filled with thousands of K64 slides. And oh how I wish the digital cameras of today were available back when...



I have about 2k slides and B&W negatives in archival binders from the 90's and early 2000's. Half of that is medium format. Finally broke down and bought a film scanner that can handle medium format, and I'm slowly scanning in some of my old favorites. Life was simpler back then. I took a lot more time to create a photo than I do today. But I couldn't afford to photograph wildlife in the film days. So I do appreciate that about digital.

Not bear season when I took this photo on the Alaska Peninsula directly across the Shelikof Strait from Kodiak. The brown bears get super big in that area, certainly bigger than this guy, but he was a nice boar, offering a pretty perfect shot...if in season with a tag in the pocket, maybe!...
