just came off a trip with a brand new Therm A Rest Trail Pro. It was a dismal Failure, Pad was ok only when I was flat on my back! when I tried to sleep on my side,
I bottomed out & hip bones met bedrock. Anyone over 250# with first hand experience with a pad rigid enough as to not flatten out and bulge up at the edges?

Less than 250# but I toss and turn and do a lot of side to side sleeping. I have used the following pads;, Exped SynMat UL 7, DownMat UL 7, and SynMat UL 9 and a Thermarest Xtherm. All 4 of those pads are thicker than your current pad. The SynMat UL 9 is 3.5" thick, the UL 7 mats are 2.8" and the Xtherm is 2.5" where your current pad is only 2" thick.

Thanks for the quick replies, I was looking at the Exped 7 & 9, feel better about spending more cash now

I'm 260 and a side sleeper and I sleep like a baby on my Xtherm and never bottom out.
