P.S. I also found that Kifaru meat baggies leaked blood everywhere even when seem sealed.
Yes, the nature of the construction of the bag leads it to leak. The seams are just single stitch seams with the material sandwiched together. Even if you sealed the threading, there is still a gap between pieces of material that can and probably will leak. Perhaps you could load enough silicone into that space that it would hold but I wouldn't trust it.
There is a reason that other seams are used, such as a flat felled seam, on shelters where the material is folded over upon itself to keep water out.
