I spray cases in a loading block so rarely do they get spray in the lower 25%. I use quick towel method, no solvents and never saw a problem.

Friend likes to keep every rifle in his safe well lubed, inside and out. Forgot to clean the chamber - basically the inverse of not cleaning case lube off brass. Results of no case grip (FYI - it should read "6 mm BR REM"):

95% of the time I use Lee Collet dies......no lube necessary. I wipe off Imperial wax when I use body die though.

Unless they are pretty dirty I just skip the first tumble. 1 shot spray them, decap/FL size in one step, tumble lube off, prime, charge, se

I try to always clean them before I run them through the sizing die. I smoked a die with a single grain of sand. Every piece of brass that ran through it had a deep gouge. I couldn’t polish that out of the die body.

I got bad pressure signs with RCBS case lube.
Known good load I'd shot quite a bit.
Sierra tech support said "wipe the monkey snot off your cases and call me back if you have real trouble".

Dang that's a lot of loading. I can load a batch of 500 7.62 and not tell any is gone from the can. Good for you!

I just wipe the rcbs lube off with a a paper towel after sizing and never have had an issue.

After having neck tension issues with One Shot left inside the neck ID I added a cleaning step after sizing.

I just wipe them off with a dirty rag that sits on my bench. Once the rag gets too nasty, I pitch it and get a new one.

I use all different sorts of case lube, I don’t care, I just don’t want to get a case stuck. I have the paste stuff, high pressure lube and some rcbs stuff. I just use whichever I happen to grab. I resize/deprime, then just a quick wipe before putting it into the thing that holds the shells.

Most consistent process I've found is lube well with Alcohol/Lanolin spray mix, then toss into white rice and tumble for an hour or 2 to remove lube.

I use RCBS lube and pad. I tumble after resizing and trimming and then run in an ultrasonic. Not necessary but I like the brass squeaky clean. Whatever gives ya that warm fuzzy, ya know?

Any lube on your brass can attract any kind of dirt/lint or whatever -- and that's not something you want to introduce to the inside of your chamber! If the lube doesn't attract any dirt/lint, it will still be an issue when the primer ignites the powder because the case walls will not grip the chamber walls as well as when the case doesn't have lube on it. This will increase the back pressure on your bolt face! For those reasons, you should always clean lube off before you chamber the cartridge!

I seldom FLS, so don’t generally use case lube, but when I do, a quick rinse in petrol (gasoline) gets the brass squeaky clean

I'm of the opinion that One Shot evaporates to nearly nothing within a few days.

Having said that, I hand wipe the cases with a towel dampened in alcohol.

I never used to tumble sized cases. However, I started loading with Staball 6.5, and the tiny flakes stick to One Shot residue in the case neck after sizing. This is an annoying pain in the butt, so now I'm tumbling the brass for a couple hours to remove the lube. I've not seen the same issue with Varget, H1000, or IMR 4831 due to the different grain size/shape.

If you need lube, Imperial is the way to go, IMO. Like Castle, I neck size unless absolutely necessary.

Lube can cause problems. Don't leave it.
Rolling around in a towel, spray them with alcohol, tumble cases again, whatever.

There's nothing good about having a greasy chamber.

I use imperial die wax. I quit tumbling brass years ago and never had a reason to start back. I full length size everything. Never seen a reason not to full length size. Imperial dries out after it’s on the case anyway.
