Used to commute by bicycle to work every day of the week year around; was in the best shape ever riding between 4000-5000 miles per year between the 18-20 mile commute and weekend recreation rides.
Commute now is only about 9 miles rounds trip and not worth the bike; I do try and ruck it with a lightweight pack. I carry my change of clothes/shoes and some of my basic hunting gear using my hunting pack. I do it in about 70-75 minutes. Unfortunately, it is mostly flat and fully paved. Stretching and basic core maintenance to stave off persistent back issues.
I need to up the game based on others here. I'm only mid-50's.
