I got this knife new off the auction site with this project in mind. I removed the original scales and reworked the grip area with my 1x30 sander and angle grinder. I had some highly figured walnut to use for new scales and saw stacked g10 black/white liners on a knife online that I really liked the looks of. I got it finished up today and gave it a few coats of tung oil. I'm happy with the results. Now to make a good sheath for it.

Looks nice! Great work! I need to do this with my grandpas old UMSC medical corpsman knife. The wood is rotted, and one side missing.

Got the sheath finished up today. It's a nice, snug fit.
